My name is Pippin. Don’t let my age fool you, I still have tons of puppy energy in me even though some may consider me “an older and distinguished gentleman”!
I am a tan 7 year old male Pomeranian and I weigh less than 5 pounds.
I was rescued from another shelter to be given a second chance at life.
I know you probably can’t get past how cute I am, but there are a few things I should let you know before you take me home and spoil me rotten. The nice AVHS vet says I am a diabetic dog, which means you will need to give me insulin twice a day and feed me a special diet to keep me healthy and active. Because of this, your veterinarian needs to become my new BFF so they can monitor me on a regular basis. The medication costs approximately $65 every 6 to 8 weeks. I also don’t see very well, but that doesn’t keep me from exploring my surroundings, so we need to make sure that my new furever home is “baby-proofed”. I am very excited to have a home to call my own and a family I can cuddle with and love!
I was at the AVHS shelter learning to be social and held by all of the staff. I loved being on someone’s lap. Soon I was ready for adoption and a nice couple came to adopt me. She had diabetes so understood my medical needs.
