Home for the Holidays

Bring a new pet "Home for the Holidays"

The days are getting colder as winter sets in - why not bring home a new cuddle buddy? Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is teaming up with Auburn Valley Humane Society (AVHS) to lower pet adoption fees during the "Home for the Holidays" special.

Now through December 31, you can adopt an adult dog (one year or older) for $50, or a puppy (under one year) for $100. If you fancy felines, you can adopt an adult cat (six months or older) for just $30, or a kitten (under six months) for $50.

Adopting a shelter animal can be a very rewarding experience. RASKC and AVHS both seek to place great pets into great homes. All adopters are welcome, and each shelter aims to find a great match for every potential adopter by providing as much information as possible about each animal, and ultimately allowing each adopter to make the final decision about what is right for their family. The goal is to be a resource for adopters throughout the life of their new pet, this holiday season and beyond!

The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. The Auburn Valley animal shelter is located at 4910 A St. SE in Auburn. Prospective adopters are encouraged to visit the shelters in person to pick out the perfect pet. Learn more about the participating shelters, and see the pets available for adoption, at kingcounty.gov/pets or AuburnValleyHS.org.
